This Monday Tory Lanez was expected to be handed down his sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. However, once again, it’s getting delayed.

The sentencing hearing will resume Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. PST for the rapper. The entertainer was found guilty on three gun-related charges in December and has been held in jail since.

Megan, who wasn’t at the hearing this morning, prepared a pre-written statement that was read by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center. It read, “I struggle with being present. After everything that occurred I cannot bring myself back to being in the same room with Tory,” Megan wrote. “I’ve been tormented and terrorized.”

She went in on to say, “He paid bloggers to disseminate false information, he treated my trauma like a joke when I could’ve been dead,” she wrote. “He blamed the system, he blamed the press, and as of late he is using his childhood trauma to justify his actions.”
“Slowly but surely, I’m healing. But I’ll never bee the same,” she continued. “His crime warrants the full weight of the law.”

Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson also gave an emotional statement about his son losing his mother at age 11. He said, “I don’t think anybody ever gets over that. But his music became his outlet.” He also, apologize for his rant outside the courthouse. “I want to personally apologize to you,” he told the judge. “It was an overwhelming time.”

More On The Shooting Case With Tory Lanez And Megan Thee Stallion

As we previously reported, almost three years have passed since the 2020 shooting, and a lot has happened inside – and outside – court.

Tory, real name Daystar Peterson was found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. The prosecution has asked the judge for a 13-year sentence.

Megan has claimed that Tory was the gunman who shot at her feet, wounding her, following an argument while driving home from a party with Kylie Jenner. Initially, Megan said she was trying to protect Tory but after seeing all the online telling and lies, she finally spoke out to let the world know what he did to her. Accusations of lying have dogged the Grammy-winning artist throughout the case, because her story changed early on.

She initially told police she’d been hurt by stepping on broken glass. However, it wasn’t until later, on Instagram, when she first said that Tory had shot her.

Since then, Tory has denied shooting Megan Thee Stallion but he ultimately was found guilty.
