The woman was identified as 22-year-old Miya Ponsetto, a California resident who was staying at the Arlo Hotel in SoHo.  Her identity was first revealed on Twitter after several users went on various people search websites and matched photos to track her down. Prior to confirming her identity, NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison asked the public to locate Ponsetto after revealing a security clip that contradicted her statement claiming she was assaulted by Harrold and his son. Harrold was injured during the altercation but his son was unharmed.

According to public records, Ponsetto previously lived in Simi Valley but there were no phone numbers listed under her name as reported by the New York Post.
