UPDATE: NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo Refuses To Resign And Denies Claims: “I Never Touched Anyone Inappropriately Or Made Inappropriate Sexual Advances”

As we previously reported this Tuesday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was found to have sexually harassed multiple women, including current and former state employees, according to New York State Attorney General Letitia James who announced the details following a four-month probe into the allegations.

“Specifically, we find that the Governor sexually harassed a number of current and former New York State employees by, among other things, engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching, as well as making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women,” the report said.

In a televised statement issued Tuesday afternoon in response to the report, Cuomo denied any wrongdoing and said that “the facts are much different than what has been portrayed” — and gave no indication that he would heed growing calls for his resignation.

“I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances,” Cuomo said. “I am 63 years old. I’ve lived my entire adult life in public view. That is just not who I am.”

“I welcome the opportunity for a full and fair review before a judge and a jury, because this just did not happen,” he said.He took no questions from reporters after responding to the report in a statement that was livestreamed by his office.
