Mary J. Blige just scored a partial win … now that the lawsuit from her former sidekick Misa Hylton has been tossed out by a New York court!!!
According to documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Blige and her legal team, Lisa Moore and Andrew Pequignot, got the motion to dismiss the suit Hylton filed back in July 2025 … without any prejudice.
This means Hylton can still go for sanctions against the superstar if she wants, but her lack of follow-up—especially after Blige called the lawsuit “frivolous”—shows that the drama might be over.
The court took a dig at Hylton for filing a suit with explosive claims but then bailing when things got tough, sending a clear message to her legal team to think twice if they decide to refile down the line.
Hylton accused Blige of messing with her record label’s business, including her top client, rapper Vado, but Blige shot back that Hylton was running a fake company.
These two were tight for 30 years before it all turned into a legal showdown.
And let’s not forget, Hylton is a hip hop fashion icon and the mother of Diddy’s son.
