Back in May, Timothy Brehmer killed Claire Parry.41, in his vehicle during an argument about their affair. During his court appearance at Salisbury Crown Court, Brehmer discussed his affair and what led to the nurse’s death, claiming that Parry’s husband also found out and the couple’s marriage was ending. Before her death, Parry also discovered Brehmer had another affair with a fellow police officer and another woman.

The police officer identified as Kate Rhodes said Parry contacted her on Facebook and stated they discussed their relationship with Brehmer. She told the court that he used grooming techniques to manipulate and control women and when she joined the force in 2011, Brehmer was her mentor and they had a relationship but it quickly ended after she discovered he was married.

Brehmer will appear again on a later court date for his sentencing but his murder charge has been dropped. Prior to the trial, he admitted to strangling the nurse and called her death an accident. A video clip of his mental breakdown went viral after he was filmed in hysterics after strangling Parry to death.

During a closing statement, Parry’s husband said Brehmer “robbed” their children of their mother’s love and called his tearful confession “a lie.”

“He has robbed my children of a million hugs and kisses from their mummy. This trial has been a whole new level of pain and humiliation for me, listening to Brehmer tell lie after lie.”
