As we reporter, the entire attack was caught on camera amidst protests for Jacob Blake. Rittenhouse’s attorney, Lin Wood, claims the teen was acting in self-defense, however, footage shows that the victims were unarmed.
“From my standpoint, it’s important that the message be clear to other Americans who are attacked that there will be legal resources available in the event false charges are brought against them,” he said. “Americans should never be deterred from exercising their right of self-defense.”
The victims were identified as Gauge Grosskreutz, 26, who survived, Joseph Rosenbaum, 36 and Anthony Huber.
