After his lawyer doubled down on DMX’s current condition, the rapper is still on life support and his family is saying it’s ‘not looking too good.’

As previously reported, DMX was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York after he suffered a heart attack that was reportedly triggered by an overdose. Yesterday, his attorney claimed the rapper was taken off of life support and was breathing on his own but he doubled down on the comments stating he was receiving different facts from various sources. He was placed on life support after paramedics tried to resuscitate the rapper for 30 minutes, and doctors said he lacked oxygen during that time. Doctors said the lack of oxygen has affected his brain activity.

In an official statement released to TMZ by DMX’s rep, it reads: “Last night Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home. At this time he remains in ICU in critical condition. Earl has been a warrior his entire life. This situation represents yet another road he must conquer. The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support, and prayers for Earl. Earl is someone whose life and music have been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world. It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need.”
