Cory Hardrict has remained pretty cool, calm and collected about the news of his wife Tia Mowry filing for divorce. However, one thing he’s not letting slide is false rumors about their breakup!
Under his latest Instagram post, fans tried their best to look for clues to get answers on what might have led to their split. One user said, “he cheated on her.” The actor wasted no time in clapping back. He quickly responded and said, “Lies.”
While he quickly cleared that up, fans are still disappointed to hear that another great celebrity couple has called it quits.

When Did Tia Mowry File For Divorce?
News about the “Sister Sister” star filing for
divorce from her husband of 14 years was made public on Tuesday. In legal documents obtained by Radar Online shows that Mowry filed the dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles County Courts and is just citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the split.
Mowry noted that they entered into a prenuptial agreement, which appears to have outlined a fair split between property, assets, and child support. She’s also reportedly asking for joint custody of her two children and wants the court to scrub its ability to award spousal support to either party, the news site notes. It was said that Mowry has hired Kim Kardashian’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, to represent her in the divorce case.

She first shared a quote to her Instagram story that read, Letting go can be painful. But, it won’t hurt as much as holding on to an illusion.” She then shared a full-body pic with the song “Treat Me” by Chloe Bailey playing in background.
She then followed up with an official statement that read,
“I always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness.” She continued, “ We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Aside from Cory’s response to a fan, he also shared a quote that read, “acting off of emotions will cost you every time.”
Mowry and Hardrict got engaged in 2006 after six years of dating. They tied the knot in April 2008 and share two children together: Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4.
