UPDATE: Caitlyn Jenner Files Official Paperwork To Run For Governor

We recently reported that Caitlyn Jenner was going to be putting in a bid to be governor of California, well it’s official now as she just filed the paperwork and announced the news on Twitter.

Per AXIOS, the 71-year-old Republican has been speaking with GOP advisers as she embarks on joining numerous candidates who want to replace Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“California has been my home for nearly 50 years,” Jenner said in a statement. “I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality. But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”

Jenner may supported Donald Trump in 2016 but when he limited transgender people access to public school bathroom, she went against him. She also wasn’t happy when he announced that transgender people would be prohibited from serving in the U.S. military.

Jenner’s team believe there is a good chance of success for her campaign and that she could be our next Governor!
