Hours after a video went viral of a white Army Sergeant confronting a Black man for walking through his neighborhood, he has been arrested for the incident.

Johnathan Pentland,42, was caught on camera confronting a Black man in South Carolina and accused him of not being from the neighborhood because he never seen him before on Monday evening. In the clip, Pentland shoved the young man several times and threatened to cause further harm. The unidentified Black man said he was just strolling through the neighborhood but Pentland continued the aggressive behavior and accused him of loitering for 15 minutes.
Pentland was arrested and charged with assault and battery on Wednesday. However, TMZ reported that there were no further details on whether Pentland was still in custody.

Pentland served as an Army sergeant and he is based at Fort Jackson. After the video went viral, officials said they were investigating the incident as confirmed by the Fort Jackson Commanding General.
