United Airlines To Gives All Employees A $1,000 Bonus For Their Hard Work During The Pandemic

While appearing on CBS this Wednesday, United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby announced that all active employees will receive a $1,000 bonus on their paycheck next month — a thank you for their hard work during the pandemic.

“Our people went through a tough time during the pandemic and truthfully they were part of the global humanitarian response — flying I even canisters, flying the first vaccines into the country, refugees from Afghanistan. It’s been a rough year for them, lots of stress, lots of strain more so than most companies and they just did a great job.” He added, that this was just a small thank you before the holidays.”

United has over 80,000 employees. 99.7% of the airline’s workforce is vaccinated, which CEO Scott Kirby says is proof that vaccine mandates work.

Although the mandates seem to be working, a federal judge in Texas has blocked United Airlines from imposing its vaccine mandate on employees seeking medical or religious exemptions while it considers arguments from both sides.

“You can make a mana date vaccine mandate work as long as you’re open, honest and transparent about it.”
