UFC Champion Sean O’Malley, aka Suga Sean, is sparking outrage after claiming that his “status” allows him to cheat on his wife. However, he does add that she can’t do the same. He claims, “I’m a king. I pay for everything.”

Earlier this month Sean O’Malley reached the top of the UFC mountain after defeating Aljamain Sterling for the UFC bantamweight title. He not only knocked Sterling from the top spot, but he also won his first-ever championship since joining the organization. The following week, O’Malley went viral again, but this time over comments he made about being able to cheat on his wife, Danya Gonzalez, with whom O’Malley also welcomed a child in late 2020.
While appearing on an episode of Bradley Martyn’s ‘Raw Talk’ podcast prior to his big fight against Sterling, O’Malley dished on his and his wife’s marriage, claiming that they have an “open” relationship. During the conversation, O’Malley explained why he believed it was cool for him to step out and have flings with other women, while his wife doesn’t have the same opportunity.

O’Malley essentially claimed that because of how successful he is, he is afforded the opportunity. The UFC champion said, “I’m a king, I pay for everything. I treat Danya like a queen. If I get a little p**s on the side. What does that have to do with anything? I have testosterone running through my veins. It’s that f***ing simple.”
The UFC Champion added that his “status” allows him to cheat on his wife. He explained, “If I wasn’t paying for everything, if I wasn’t, you know, successful in any sort of way, and I was just like maybe an average Joe, I probably wouldn’t. It probably wouldn’t be fair. But I’m f***ing King Kong baby. Andrew Tate explains it well, it’s status. You know I got status so I can.”
However, O’Malley did later note that his wife is “never fine with it.”
Now, it is reported that this isn’t the first time that Sean O’Malley has opened up about his open relationship with his wife, whom he met long before his rise to fame in the UFC world. Back in 2020, he previously said that if his then-girlfriend (Danya Gonzalez) wanted to do the same thing and have flings on the side, he would just have to deal with it, while also noting that it wouldn’t be easy for him to handle.
And just last year, while appearing on the ‘Full Send’ podcast, the MMA star said, “Everyone’s definition of an open relationship is different. I like to think of ours as just an open-minded relationship where we don’t own each other. I don’t own her, and she doesn’t own me. When I first met Danya, I told her, ‘I don’t know why anyone would f**k the same chick for the rest of their life, I can’t do that.’ So she knew she wasn’t in love with a phoney me. We’ve had some dope threesomes. Every relationship should be okay with it, that just needs to happen.”
