According to several reports, R&B singer and actor Tyrese, born Tyrese Gibson, is wanted by Atlanta’s Fulton County Police Department on an animal cruelty charge after his four dogs allegedly fatally attacked a neighbor’s dog.
On Monday (September 29), the Fulton County Police Department (FCPD) revealed they had issued an arrest warrant for the ‘Fast & Furious’ star. According to the FCPD, a Buckhead resident called into the station on September 18. The caller alleged that Gibson’s four Cane Corso dogs — a large breed often used as guard dogs — had killed the neighbor’s 5-year-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, named Henry.
Animal Services commander and FCPD Captain Nicole Dwyer told WSB-TV the singer’s neighbor let his dog into his front yard. However, just five minutes later, they returned to find the dog dead. Security footage reportedly shows Gibson’s four Cane Corsos scratching at a door across the street. This was just minutes before the alleged attack on Henry.

Moments after Henry’s death, another 911 call came in. This time, a woman in a nearby home claimed she couldn’t reach her car because Gibson’s dogs were blocking her. Animal control officers shortly arrived to escort her safety to her vehicle. Gibson’s dogs were reported on the loose on five different occasions a week and half leading up to Henry’s death. Dwyer said Gibson received several warnings.
On September 22, the singer told police he planned to surrender his dogs to Animal Services. However, when officers arrived, he requested three to our additional days to make a decision. Dwyer told him she’d obtain an arrest warrant if he did not comply.

After his alleged refusal, Dwyer obtained a search warrant for his property. She also obtained an arrest warrant for cruelty to animals that same day. Later evening, police went to execute both warrants. However, upon arrival at Gibson’s home, police discovered he was not at the property and the dogs were also moved.
According to Dwyer, Gibson is negligent. She said, “It is the negligence on his part as the homeowner and animal owner, just letting them roam free. And now they have killed an innocent animal.”
