Tyrese is feeling upset and disappointed after having customized two songs for Mary J. Blige which he claims she refused to be featured on.
While recently taking to social media, in what appears to be during a livestream on Instagram, Tyrese shared his disappointment with MJB publicly. He proceeded to tell fans that he “tailor-made” a song for Mary J. Blige. He explained how the he perfected the song just for her, her voice, her sound. However, he claimed she declined to be featured on it.
So, he returned to the studio and created another song, again just for MJB to be featured on. However, he claimed she again turned him down. Now left with two songs turned down, Tyrese is now feeling “really hurt” by Mary J. Blige.
Tyrese ‘Disappointed’ And ‘Hurt’ After Claiming Mary J. Blige Turned Down Two Songs He Customized For Her To Be Featured On
In his video, Tyrese said, “I tried my best to get Mary J. Blige on both songs. She passed on it. It’s okay. I feel a way about it. I’m hurt, I’m hurt, I’m really hurt. I can’t lie.”
He continued to explain, “Um, but she passed on it. And I wasn’t hurt that Mary passed on the song — as if she didn’t have a choice because she does. She’s a f***ing legend. She’s my sister. I love her. I was more so hurt about her passing on the song. Because like a mad scientist, I went into the studio — and when I tell you I customize this song, I made this motherf**ker tailor-made for Mary.”

Tyrese later said, “And if y’all can get this message to Mary. Mary, you my Capricorn sister, I love you more than you could ever — I don’t even think you understand how much I love you.”
Tyrese continued to pour into MJB and said, “You are just so… one of a kind. You are one of one of one. Your heart, your soul, your compassion, your empathy towards everyone. You take care of everybody around you. Loyal to a default at times. You’re amazing. I love you. I’m disappointed that you didn’t do my song. But we got so much equity over all these years. I ain’t gonna hold that to you.”
