Tyra Banks Trends After ‘Americas Next Top Model’ Contestant Claimed Models Only Got Paid $40 A Day
Tyra Banks is currently trending after a former contestant on blast because of the way she and her fellow producers allegedly behaved towards the contestants of her long-lasting reality television show, America’s Next Top Model.
The competition television show – which clamped dozens of often young women to battle each other for the opportunity of becoming the next big name in fashion.
Years and also decades later, many explain how they are still struggling with the emotional trauma of it all.
The former top model contestant who made social media go into a frenzy is Sarah Hartshorne. A Twitter user shared a tweet saying, “the fact that the girls on ANTM we’re getting paid $40 an episode and Tyra and the judges were making bank is kinda sick.” Sarah responded to the tweet by saying, “$40 a day, no residuals and we had to pay for our own food.”

Some Twitter users wondered why the models didn’t just leave if they claim they were going through all that torture. Sarah also replied to that question by sharing, “Actually we signed a contract that said we had to stay. You could break it but you couldn’t just, like, walk out. There were handlers and security and lawyers who threatened us with million-dollar lawsuits if we didn’t abide by the contract.”
