Hollywood Unlocked attended the New York City premiere on Wednesday where we caught up with actor Tyler Lepley who stars opposite Meagan Good as Ian, a former love who leaves his relationship to go after his dreams as a chef. In Tyler’s words: “He’s a studied chef on the break of a whole new life; emotionally, financially, and he’s deeply passionate about his work and love life. When y’all are introduced to him, he’s caught in a conflict but he’s really like all of us; a man that’s in the process trying to figure out who he is and what he stands for.”

Speaking on the topic of relationships, we couldn’t help but to mention his new relationship with model Miracle Watts, who was also in attendance and standing strong right beside her man as he hit the blue carpet. Since the two have been going super strong, we asked Tyler what are three great tips to maintaining a healthy relationship. For him, it’s all about “communication, passion, and the ability to listen.” As many fans have been eager to hear Miracle Watts’ prayer after finding love, we also asked Tyler if any men have ever come up to him to hear his own. He told us,

“I don’t really listen too much of the outside world when it comes to that. I got to keep it within us cause that’s how we got here. But I don’t got no prayers,” he said while laughing.
