Two-year-old Neveah Allen was last seen by her stepfather around 1:00 p.m. before he put her down for a nap at their Belaire home and went missing after her siblings returned home from school around 4:15 p.m. They explained to the police that the apartment door was open and Neveah was gone. Allen’s mother, Lanaya Cardwell, said the last time she saw her daughter was right before she left for work earlier that morning.
Due to the nature of the case, Louisiana State Police have issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child alert as the toddler could be local or statewide. As reported by WAFB, the FBI is working with local police to find Allen and its Mississippi field office has joined in to help search for Allen.
