Two Indiana girls have been arrested for allegedly torturing another girl during a sleepover.

Logansport Police arrived at the scene after receiving a call about a child being “battered” early Saturday morning. The victim’s aunt, Renita Contreras, said her niece was manipulated by the two other girls, both age 12, to participate in a sleepover but later learned it would only be the three of them. “Over the weekend, she was tortured, beaten, confined. Two juvenile females sat on top of her for two hours so she could not breathe, they burned her with cigarette lighters. It goes on and on. My niece in the video, looked like she was laying there dead. And it wasn’t an image our family needed to see, or was ever ready to see,” Contreras explained.
The victim’s family also added that the girl’s face was sliced up and half of her head was shaved.

According to TOO FAB, more details about the case were not revealed due to the ages of the people involved and called the incident “severe.” One of the girls has been already charged with criminal confinement, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.
“You can’t say that a child is charged with a crime the same way you would with an adult. They are alleged to have committed acts that, had they been committed by an adult, would have been felonies,” said Cass County Prosecutor Noah Schafer.
