Maya Angelique(@moneyymaya) recalled the moment where a male stranger attempted to break into her room around 1:00 a.m. Sunday, two hours after she checked in with the hotel. After calling the front desk, they reportedly told her that the man worked for housekeeping and tried to enter the room next door. “I called the front desk not even a full minute later. The girl working said “I’m aware of the situation. That was housekeeping trying to get into the room he accidentally came to your door instead of the room next to you”. In what world is housekeeping coming into rooms at 1AM,” she wrote.

After sharing her experience, Twitter user @hey_sita revealed a similar situation at the hotel when she booked her stay in November of last year. “I stayed at the Cambria Hotel in DC in November. I had a King Suite with a longer room, given the style. Midday I took a shower and a man in a blue shirt was in my room when I came out. “Housekeeping” they said. With no badge or cleaning supplies.” she wrote.
