Twitter has blocked one of President Trump’s tweets after he encouraged people to vote twice to secure their ballot.

President Trump tweeted,’NORTH CAROLINA: To make sure your Ballot COUNTS, sign & send it in EARLY. When Polls open, go to your Polling Place to see if it was COUNTED. IF NOT, VOTE! Your signed Ballot will not count because your vote has been posted. Don’t let them illegally take your vote away from you!’ earlier this morning but Twitter flagged the tweet. The social media platform said Trump’s tweet violated its Civic Integrity Policy and blocked it.
‘To protect people on Twitter, we are on the side of limiting the circulation of Tweets which advise people to take actions which could be illegal in the context of voting or result in the invalidation of their votes.’

This is not the first time Twitter has flagged President Trump’s tweets for misinformation. Back in May, Twitter placed a fact check warning in regards to voter fraud and Trump claimed the platform is taking away free speech based on his tweets.
“.@Twitter is now interfering in the 2020 Presidential Election. They are saying my statement on Mail-In Ballots, which will lead to massive corruption and fraud, is incorrect, based on fact-checking by Fake News CNN and the Amazon Washington Post”
