The brothers, aged 23,  appeared in court and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor false imprisonment and reporting false emergencies in Irvine, California. Back in October 2019, they staged a fake bank robbery that led police to hold an Uber driver at gunpoint and they made the attempt two times to film the fake robbery for their YouTube channel. According to KTLA, the then-21-year-olds dressed in all black clothing while wearing ski masks and carried bags with cash in inside. After committing the “robbery”, the brothers and their videographer entered an Uber but the driver refused to drive off from the bank’s location.

Prosecutors said witnesses contacted police and assumed the men attempted to carjack the Uber driver. Police arrived at the scene and held the innocent driver at gunpoint but he was later released after learned he was not involved in the stunt.

The twins continued their antics four hours later at UC Irvine and police were called again to respond to another bank robbery. They uploaded the footage to their YouTube channel but the video has been removed since then. If convicted, the brothers each face five years in jail and the guilty plea was in place of the felony charge that was brought against them in exchange for a misdemeanor.
