“The plot chickens as we barrel our way closer to Thanksgiving. For us, it’s a time to be thankful that our officers are always working around the cluck to keep you safe. In a report by CBS News, TSA regulations allow a full Thanksgiving meal on flights as long as passengers follow federal protocols. However, those planning to travel with guns and ammunition must pack unloaded weapons in locked containers in their check bags. Additionally, the gun has to be declared at the airport ticket counter before boarding the flight.
“Thankful for yummy Thanksgiving pumpkin pies, green beans, mac & cheese, and yams? Who isn’t?! You’ll be happy to know that calorie-rich sides and desserts are fine and dandy to bring in your carry-on. Just make sure that any dishes containing liquids follow the 3-1-1 rule. And if you’re not positive if your scrumptious dish would be considered a liquid, go ahead and pack it in your checked bag just to be safe.”
