Grief was heavy in the Kennedy family this week, but the internet stayed cold… Just hours after news broke that Tatiana Schlossberg, daughter of Caroline Kennedy and granddaughter of President John F. Kennedy, had passed away at 35, Donald Trump flooded social media with posts clowning the Kennedy name, turning a moment of mourning into another round of political mess.

As previously reported, Tatiana died on Tuesday, Dec. 30, a little over a month after she publicly revealed she had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She left behind her husband, Dr. George Moran, and their two small children, Edwin and Josephine. While tributes poured in, Trump went in a different direction…

Instead of acknowledging Tatiana’s death, the former president reposted screenshots from MAGA supporters dragging the Kennedys over their reaction to his controversial move involving the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

More On Trump And His Beef With the Kennedy Family:

The historic arts venue was originally dedicated as a memorial to JFK after his assassination in Dallas, Texas, in 1963, a point not lost on critics.

Earlier in December, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the board of the Kennedy Center had “voted unanimously” to rename the building the “Trump-Kennedy Center.” By the next day, workers had already added “The Donald Trump and” above the venue’s original name, transforming the iconic landmark almost overnight.

That move didn’t sit right with everyone — especially not the Kennedys. Tatiana’s brother, Jack Schlossberg, pushed back publicly, writing on X that “microphones were muted” during the board’s conference call and that the vote was “NOT unanimous.”

The backlash grew fast, but Trump leaned into it, sharing posts that mocked the family and even took shots at relatives who had spoken out. The timing, coming just hours after Tatiana’s death.

So far, the Kennedy family hasn’t fired back.

In the hours following Tatiana’s passing, the only Kennedy-related posts online have been expressions of love and remembrance.
