In a statement released by his Press Secretary office, Trump said: “In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for.”

As it’s been reported, his followers are vowing to stage protests in all 50 state capitals, including a return to the U.S. Capitol, and the FBI has said many are even plotting violence. This all comes as he’s about to be impeached for the second time and ahead of Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Trump failed to lead as his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, leading to 5 deaths. While his supporters destroyed property and injured others, Trump stood around for hours until telling them to go home.

Despite that, he’s now singing a different tune. In his statement he concluded, “I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank You.”
