Trump Posts AI Video of Obama Getting “Arrested” — Internet Ain’t Having It
Donald Trump just can’t seem to stay out of controversy. This time, he’s catching major heat for sharing a wild, AI-generated video of former President Barack Obama being arrested in the Oval Office while the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.” plays in the background…
The video popped up on Trump’s Truth Social account Sunday night and instantly sparked backlash across the internet, with many people telling him to play with somebody else, not the beloved former president.
In case you missed it, the clip starts with a montage of real Democratic politicians repeating the line “No one is above the law” and then jumps into a fabricated clip where Trump smugly watches as FBI agents cuff Obama and escort him out. The video, originally sourced from TikTok, is clearly AI-created, but Trump’s reposting of it gave it a whole new level of reach and reaction.

Social Media Goes In On Trump Over “Dangerous and Delusional” Post
From Twitter to TikTok, users were quick to call out Trump’s latest stunt as everything from childish to downright dangerous.
One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote,
“Trump’s out here sharing AI fantasy videos of Obama getting arrested while avoiding questions about Epstein… clown behavior.”
Another added,
“Says the convicted felon who had his sentencing trial postponed because of the Election…..OHHH and who just had the Supreme Court rule that he is above the law…..”
Obama’s Camp Keeps Quiet, But the Streets Are Talking
Barack Obama’s team hasn’t commented on the fake video — and honestly, at this point, they probably just rolled their eyes and kept it moving. After all, this ain’t Trump’s first time pushing bizarre claims about the 44th president.
But even in their silence, social media showed up and showed out for Obama.
“Obama built a legacy,” one user wrote. “Trump out here building fake AI videos like it’s WWE.”
Another joked, “Trump really posted a fake video of Obama getting arrested like it was a new episode of Power.”
Distraction Tactic? Epstein, AI, and the Real Agenda
Now, this post didn’t just pop up outta nowhere. Trump’s repost came right as heat was picking up surrounding his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and newly resurfaced court docs that have reignited public debate.
It feels like Trump’s trying to switch the narrative, and fast. Instead of addressing the wave of questions about his connections to Epstein or responding to demands for transparency, he’s reposting satirical AI videos — hoping folks take the bait.
But judging by the internet’s reaction, this one backfired bad.
