During an Oval Office event for National Nurses Day, President Trump deflected a nurse’s statement after she said she was wearing the same N95 mask for weeks while working the frontlines to combat COVID-19.

According to Bloomberg, Sophia Thomas, President of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners said some parts of the country were still dealing with the shortage of personal protective equipment. She works at the Daughter of Charity Health System in New Orleans and said she has been wearing the same N95 mask for weeks but called the supply “sporadic” but manageable.

While continuing to make her statement, President Trump interrupted Thomas and said: “Sporadic for you.”

She works as a nursing supervisor at a hospital in Willingboro, New Jersey, one of the most infected areas with COVID-19.

‘In reality, I’m not seeing it, I’m in a hot zone right now, I’m in south New Jersey, we’re very close to New York, I’m not seeing it
