Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson could be getting back together if the reality star is willing to give her ex another chance. According to a new report via Us Weekly, the NBA star, whose relationship with Kardashian ended after she learned about his love child in late 2021, is apparently trying to win her back, with a source asserting “he wants to make it work between them.” Currently, the pair are nothing more than friends as they continue to co-parent their two children together, but as the insider notes, “he wants more.”
The report comes just days after the Good American co-founder posted a sentimental tribute to Thompson who celebrated his 32nd birthday earlier this week, as she credited the athlete for being a great father to their daughter True as well as their seven-month-old boy, who was welcomed via surrogacy last year. “Be strong, be kind, be patient, be free. Continue to Make your soul and your mommy proud. Happy birthday baby daddy,” she concluded her caption.

The pair’s relationship is said to have strengthened following the tragic loss of Thompson’s mother, Andrea, who died after suffering from cardiac arrest two months ago. Kardashian and her family have been extremely supportive of not just Thompson but also his brothers during this difficult time, and given new claims that the NBA star is reportedly still committed to rekindling things with Kardashian, all signs appear to be leading to a possible reconciliation.
Many people have questioned Kardashian’s actions towards Thompson, saying that though they understand that they share children together, jumping back into a relationship with the athlete would be anything but reasonable considering his past.
The ex-couple were able to work through Thompson’s previous cheating scandal when they decided to get back together during the Covid pandemic, which later led the Canadian-born to move into Kardashian’s LA home as they quarantined together. But by the end of 2021, the TV personality was stunned with the news that Thompson was expecting another baby — but this time with fitness enthusiast Maralee Nichols, whom he hooked up with while still in a relationship with Kardashian.
And while she claims that Thompson is the best dad to their kids, fans have been left wondering why he doesn’t carry the same title for the child he welcomed with Nichols, who previously said in court documents that the father of her child had refused to take accountability nor was he willing to pay child support following the birth of their son, Theo.

Still, sources for Us Weekly claim that Kardashian undoubtedly still has feelings for Thompson, though it’s unclear whether she’d be open to actually giving her ex yet another chance. “Khloé will never not support Tristan because he’s the father of her two kids. Khloé called him the ‘best father’ because that’s how she feels and she will always stand by that,” the insider expressed.
“Despite whatever happened between them, she has decided to focus on the positive because her children are the most important people in her life. She’s able to separate their past and appreciates the way he shows up for his kids.”
