Craig reportedly filed an order for income withholding for support, asking the Cleveland Cavaliers to stop paying Thompson’s salary to him until his child support debt is fulfilled, as reported by The Blast. The filing was made in September, claiming Thompson started making partial or missed payments in November 2022. The basketball player was ordered to pay Craig in April 2019 on the first of each month until Prince turns 18. However, the order claims that Thompson allegedly started defaulting on his payments in November but reportedly paid the amount in January of this year.

The partial payments of $14,500 allegedly continued from February until August, when he paid $29,000. Craig says he recently signed a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and believes he should use the money to pay off his debt.

“It is my understanding that Tristan has recently signed a contract of employment with a professional sports team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, located in Cleveland, Ohio. I seek to garnish some portion of his salary to pay the arrears he owes me,” she wrote.

“It is my belief that Tristan signed a “veteran’s minimum” contract with the Cavaliers that pays him $2.7 million per year. The $80,000 I request is certainly less than half of his monthly salary.”

Jordan requests the court to order the NBA team to withhold $80,000 from his salary until his debt is paid. The outlet also reported that Craig’s sister, Kai Cyre, called out the basketball player earlier this month in a now-deleted Instagram post after Kim Kardashian said he helped her with her four children after her divorce from Kanye West.

“It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy I haven’t for over seven years, but this is too much. It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince. The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable.”
