Trey Songz’ alleged sexual assault lawsuit has come to an end after the $25 million case resulted in a settlement, according to @blast.

Documents obtained by the news outlet shows that the R&B singer and the plaintiff, Jane Doe, worked things out outside of the courtroom. Courtney documents were reportedly filed on April 10 and it revealed that both parties reached a conditional settlement but the terms of their agreement wasn’t listed in the paperwork. However, with this new update in the case it will now indicate if the lawsuit will be dismissed or not.

“The settlement agreement conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specified terms that are not to be performed within 45 days of the date of the settlement,” the filing explained. If the settlement conditions have been met, a request for dismissal of the case can be filed no later than June 10, 2024, the news outlet reported.

If you remember this whole situation went down after a woman spoke out in 2022 claiming that Songz raped her at a party in 2016. She first filed a $20 million lawsuit but it was dismissed because Trey Songz and his team fought back and said her claim was past the statute of limitations. After the dismissal of the first case she refiled again in 2023 but this time it was a $25 million lawsuit which stated the same thing, claiming Songz allegedly raped her at a house party in March 2016.

Jane Doe revealed that she had consensual sex with Trey Songz before and she was expecting to share another intimate moment with his but this time the singer got violent with her. In the lawsuit she claimed Songz threw her on the ground and anally raped her while she screamed and pleaded for him to stop. After the alleged assault she bought an uber to take her to a nearby hospital where she received medical treatment and sexual assault counseling.

In her lawsuit she also claimed that the two had another encounter in New York when she ran into the singer and he called her a “slut” and “liar.” He allegedly even got his security guards to kick her out the event that they were at.

After the $25 million lawsuit, Jane Doe’s lawyer released a statement about the case. “This case is much more than about one singer and one viciously abused sexual assault survivor who has the courage to take action. It’s also very much about the systematic sexual abuse in the music industry.”

“And the music industry’s complicity in silencing sexual abuse survivors. It’s virtually impossible to believe that those executives are not and were not aware of the institutionalized sexual abuse,” Vrabeck claimed.
