Welp, it looks like Trey Songz has one less thing to worry about. The singer is officially off the hook for his alleged bowling alley beatdown last year.
According to TMZ, the “Bottoms Up” singer pled guilty Tuesday to a single disorderly conduct violation in connection with the incident. As a result of that, prosecutors agreed to dismiss the 10 original charges against him, which included assault and aggravated harassment.
However, as part of the plea deal, Trey will now have to complete 12 anger management classes by August. However, sources told the news site that he’s already gotten a head start on them.

As it was previously reported, staff at the New York City bowling alley accused Trey Songz of assaulting two people. They said the altercation was spurred by an employee attempting to stop Songz from going into the women’s bathroom with a female companion.
When police showed up to The Gutter’s Lower East Side location on Oct. 20, 2022c they reportedly found a 33-year-old man who said Songz “punched him multiple times” in the bathroom, causing “pain to his left eye,” according to a police report. A 27-year-old woman had also told police that the R&B singer punched her multiple times and allegedly “dragged her by the hair.” Following the incident, Songz turned himself in to police a few weeks later.
At the time, Trey’s attorney, Mitch Schuster, was confident he would be “fully cleared of any wrongdoing.” Looks like he was right.
In a new statement to TMZ, Schuster, says, “We appreciate the New York law enforcement and the District Attorney’s office for their comprehensive investigation and careful consideration of all evidence, which ultimately confirmed what we had known all along and resulted in the District Attorney’s office choosing not to pursue any of the original charges against our client.”
He continues, “With each and every one of the 10 original charges now dismissed by operation of law, Trey looks forward to putting this matter behind him.”
This is yet another legal battle that has gone in Trey Songz’s favor. In November 2021, Songz was accused of a sexual assault at a hotel in Las Vegas. Although the entertainer usually stays quite, Songz did responded to those allegations made by a woman who accused him of taking her phone away and refusing to let her leave his hotel room: “I usually stay quiet on this but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life,” he wrote at the time.
“I brush it off everytime (sic) but once you have an allegation no matter it’s (sic) true weight in validation, it’s now happened once and to some will be believable from that moment forward. None of that happened.” Ultimately, police closed the investigation in April 2022 without charges.
Last year, the anonymous woman who sued Trey Songz over an alleged rape at a 2016 Los Angeles house party voluntarily dropped her lawsuit. The suit, which was officially filed February 15, 2022, initially sought $20 million in damages. The woman claimed that Songz turned into a “savage rapist” during the alleged incident. At the time, the singer’s reps said the allegations were “false” and also claimed had been concocted by an attorney who had paid another woman to fabricate allegations against Songz.
