After recently launching the Cactus Jack Foundation, Travis Scott has announced a scholarship for college students.

According to TMZ, Travis Scott named the Waymon Webster Scholarship after his grandfather, who is an HBCU alumnus, and will only be exclusive to students enrolled in those schools. The scholarship will help cover the tuition for students who have been directly affected by the pandemic and the winners will be handpicked by the artist.
“My grandfather wanted me to take it all the way through college, I feel there is a power in education so to be able to give someone the opportunity to fulfill that dream as my papa thought for me is amazing,” he told the media outlet.

It was also reported that he teamed up with the Parson’s School of Design to bring an online certification program for the city of Houston. The rapper also launched an agricultural program for elementary school students and other initiatives.
