Travis Scott Addresses Satanic Ritual & Violence At His Shows: “I’m A Man Of God, So That’s That”
As we previously reported, Travis Scott finally spoke out for the first time to talk about the tragic Astroworld festival that left 10 people dead and hundreds injured.

Earlier in the interview, Travis Scott said he had no idea what was really going on until the festival was over and a news conference that happened shortly after, where full details were shared. During the sit-down interview with Charlamagne Tha God, he was also pressed on the “raging” culture his shows are known for, and asked if he thinks that contributed to the deaths. He explained, “That’s something I’ve been working on for a while, is creating these experiences and trying to show these experiences are happening in a safe environment,” he said. “Us as artists, we trust professionals for when things happen that people can leave safely and this night was just like a regular show, it felt like to me, as far as the energy. It didn’t feel like, you know…people didn’t show up there just to be harmful. People just showed up to have a good time and then something unfortunate happened and I think we really just got to figure out what that was.”

He further explained, “I’m a man of God, so that’s first things first. That’s that. Your music is just, like… self-expression. At these shows, I feel like people kind of look at things and, if you’ve been to Travis shows, there’s been different layers of shows. I think people are just, you know, misconceptions and taking things they’re seeing and all types of things. I’ve taken pride in trying to grow from where I was when I first recorded music to now, where I’m going in music, so yeah, I just think people gotta experience it sometimes. “

He went on to say,
“Even before, people were hearing about it then coming to experience it and taking away their own thing. It’s always gonna be an outside opinion but for the ones that really believe in me and understand what I’m about and what I’m doing, they know that’s not what I’m preaching. I always preach love, understanding, always preach ‘take care of your loved ones.’ Love each other. Get out your ideas, never let yourself be stopped. Love one another and step into that,” HotNewHipHop quotes.
