Travis Scott Accused Of Violating Astroworld Lawsuits Gag Order After He Launched Project Heal

Travis Scott has been accused of disobeying a gag order after attorneys for some of the victims from the fatal Astroworld music festival alleged that an effort to influence potential jurors could be transpiring behind closed doors.

As we previously reported, Scott posted an announcement earlier this month about Project HEAL, a $5 million enterprise that contains funding to address safety challenges for festivals and large-scale events.

“My team and I created Project HEAL to take much needed action towards supporting real solutions that make all events the safest spaces they can possibly be. I will always honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy who remain in my heart forever,” Scott announced.

State District Judge Kristen Hawkins has previously said that lawyers could tell the media about valid topics that happen in court, but she didn’t want attorneys or others to make their cases in the court of public opinion and possibly influence the jury pool.

Scott’s actions “did affect and dent the power of your order,” Hilliard told Hawkins, who’s advising the nearly 500 lawsuits filed after 10 people died and hundreds of others were injured during a huge crowd surge at the Nov. 5 concert headlined by Scott.
