On August 24, Kendall Stephens was attacked by a group of people after she threatened to call 911 because they were making too much noise outside of her home. Stephens said at the time of the attack, she was home with her husband, 12-year-old goddaughter, and another child: ‘People were fighting, people were throwing around liquor bottles all in front of my property while I had kids inside.”

During the assault, the group grabbed a surveillance camera from the wall and a woman started hitting Stephens in the face as she tried to close the front door.

‘I tried to close my door, front door, and as I’m doing this, she kicks it open and starts attacking me all about the face.’

The group also called Stephens various slurs such as “tranny” and said she deserved to be beaten because of her gender identity. She sustained a swollen lip and a sore jaw which has left her unable to chew due to the extent of her injuries. They also threatened to come back to her home so they could “finish the job” as reported by Metro UK.

‘I am in fear of my life,’ she said. ‘(They were the) last words they said to me. They already showed what kind of monsters they are, they’re savages.’

Philadelphia police are currently on the search for the six suspects which involve three men and three women. They labeled the attack as a simple assault but may pursue further charges based on the evidence.
