On June 24, Chris Brown will be releasing his tenth studio album, “Breezy,” and judging by what Tory Lanez has had to say about the record, Chris’ upcoming project will undoubtedly “f*ck the whole summer up,” according to the “SKAT” rapper. Tory hopped on to his official Twitter to tell fans he had a chance to listen to “Breezy” months ago, and his feelings about the project remain just as enthusiastic now as they did when he first heard the album in full.

“Mark my words ….. @chrisbrown is going to drop in a few … AND HES GUNNA F**K THE WHOLE SUMMER UP I heard the album dawg,” Tory wrote. “LIEK 3 months ago ….the n**ga got this song called “pass the time” …..OMGSH but beyond that whole album is all BANGERS . WATCH N**GA.”

Chris had been teasing his upcoming album for several months, with a release date finally being set in stone in May. The record, which is already supported by several singles, including “Iffy,” “Call Me Every Day,” and “WE,” is his first body of work since 2019’s “Indigo,” which spanned several platinum-selling songs, such as “Wobble Up” and “No Guidance” featuring Drake.

“No Guidance” has since become one of Chris’ best-selling songs, further scooping up three Soul Train Awards and receiving a nod for Best R&B Song at the Grammys in 2020.

Meanwhile, the Virginia native recently sat down for an interview with BigBoyTV to talk all things “Breezy” and what fans can expect from the tenth album. During the lengthy chat, Chris revealed he ended up recording close to 250 songs during the process of putting the record together, per Revolt, which ended up taking him a significant amount of time to scale it down to just 23 tracks.

How Did Chris Brown Narrow Down The Songs For His New Album?

Ultimately, though, Chris took a simpler approach and decided to remove songs that ended up sounding similar in frequency, so that the album now plays with a beginning, climax, and an end. “I be having so many songs. I think for this actual project, I had almost 250 song,” Chris explained. “I was like, ‘Yeah, we gotta scale it down and figure out what we gon’ do.’”

“Too many of the songs sound in the same frequency. It’s like a show. You got the beginning, the climax, and then the end. But I still want to give my audience at least two or three of the same and not release a whole album where every song sounds the same.”

Other notable features on “Breezy” include Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, Jack Harlow, Ella Mai, and, of course, Tory.
