Too Short Apologizes For Coming Off As A ‘Colorist’ In Interview With Saweetie — Says “Real Beauty Is In Every Race”
Too Short is speaking out to apologize over his old resurfaced video where he’s accused of being a colorist.
As we previously reported, the rapper chopped it with the “Tap In” artist and told her that he loved interracial relationships, and had actually only fallen in love with mixed women: “mixed heritage girls have always been my favorite. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with a woman who wasn’t mixed,” the 55-year-old said. Somehow Saweetie faced most of the backlash although she didn’t make that comment. However, she spoke out to make it clear that she thinks “Black women are beautiful. Period.”
After many people expressed major disappointment in Too Short as well, the Bay Area hip-hop star is now saying that he’s sorry if he offended anyone with his words from 2020 during the IG Live chat. He told TMZ that it wasn’t his intention to come off favoring lighter-skinned Black people over darker-skinned folks.
“Real beauty is in every economic class, in every race and you can go find a ugly exactly anywhere too.”
