The VMAS went down on Tuesday (September 12) and some of our favorite stars were on the pink carpet to speak with Hollywood Unlocked.

We chopped it up with reality star, Tommy Lee, who gave us nothing but good energy, great looks, and fun vibes. While speaking with the model and entrepreneur, we asked the former Love & Hip-Hop star what she think of the latest controversy on the show.

As many are aware, Erica Mena got axed from the show after she called Spice a monkey during a heated argument. After the clip made its rounds online, Mena received instant backlash as many called for her to be fired from the show.
Love and Hip-Hop listened to their viewers and later released a statement that read :

“The Love & Hip Hop franchise has never shied away from hard conversations in our community. Working hand-in-hand with our partners, viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena’s remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season. Effective immediately, she will not appear in the next season of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”

We asked Tommy Lee to share her thoughts and of course, she didn’t hold back. Tommy Lee said, that although she doesn’t agree with people bringing up kids during an argument she really doesn’t think Amena meant what she said when she called Spice a monkey.

Manner has, since issued a public apology following her firing. It read:

In a statement to TMZ, Mena says “I deeply regret my insensitive comment and want to humbly apologize to anybody I hurt or offended by my thoughtlessness. My choice of words was wrong, and I take full responsibility for what I said.” The mom of three went on to say, “I am committed to listening to the voices of those affected and will work toward making amends. As a woman of color and the mother of two black children, I want to make it clear that my use of that word was not in any way racially driven.”

Before concluding her statement, Mena added, “That said, I do understand the gravity of what I said and want to use my platform to promote inclusivity and equality.”

Well, that’s a lot of drama that people are still trying to unpack Tommy Lee hinted at what else she has in store during her interview with us. We asked her if she would ever have a show solely about Tommy Lee, here’s what she said:
