Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have been released from the hospital five days after announcing their coronavirus diagnosis.
Fox News reports the couple was released from a local hospital in Queensland, Australia five days after their announcement of testing positive for the coronavirus. Hanks and Wilson are currently being quarantined at a rental property to isolate themselves until further notice.

Three days ago, Tom Hanks encouraged everyone on Instagram to follow the advice of experts and take precaution:
“Hello folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us,” Hanks wrote in the caption. “We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball.”

His son Chet also reassured fans that his father and stepmother are doing well and are handling things safely shortly after their release.
