Tom Brady Makes Bitcoin Offer For Fan Who Sent Over $500,000 On ‘Last’ Touchdown Football

Looks like the fan who spent over $500,000 on what he thought was Tom Brady’s last career touchdown pass is going to be getting some reimbursement after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback proposed on their behalf.

Friday Brady took to Twitter saying, “Hey FTX_Offical….. Could we donate a bitcoin to the charity of this person’s choice?! 😂” FTX_Offical replied and said “Let’s make it happen, Brady. But what do you say we give him a bitcoin too?”

As we previously reported, last week at a New Jersey auction the football reportedly sold for $518,628. Of course, the fan thought he would be purchasing a football thrown by one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. But shortly after the auction closed the all-star quarterback announced he will be returning.

“The ball is worth a lot less now,” sports memorabilia expert David Kohler advised CBS MoneyWatch, adding that once Brady throws another touchdown, the ball’s value will be “a fraction of what it was worth.”

Last week Tom Brady announced he will be returning to the NFL after sharing a post to his Instagram account captioning the photo, “These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business. LFG”
