Todd Chrisley addresses wife Julie’s health after she was sent to an inmate medical center instead of a federal prison: ‘Neither one of us is dying of cancer that we know of’

Todd Chrisley is clearing up rumors about his wife Julie Chrisley’s health after she reported to an inmate medical center in Kentucky instead of a federal prison to serve her time.

As we previously reported, former reality television star started their sentences for bank fraud and tax evasion. While Todd, is at a Florida lockup, Julie has been housed hundreds of miles away at an inmate medical center in Kentucky.

In a new episode of their podcast, “Chrisley Confessions,” which was recorded before the duo reported to the slammer, Todd addressed his and his wife’s health and current situation.
“I know that this may be my future for a minute, but I also have faith that the judicial system is going to turn it around. I also have faith that the appellate court is going to see this for what it is.” He added of his 12-year sentence and her 7-year jail time: “We’re not facing, to our knowledge, a death sentence,” he said. “Neither one of us is dying of cancer that we know of.” Julie chimed in: “Right.”

More On Their Legal Problems

As we previously reported, the stars of “Chrisley Knows Best” were sentenced in November 2022 on federal charges of conspiracy to defraud banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans and several tax crimes including attempting to defraud the IRS. They were accused of faking documents to obtain loans from banks to get loans. It was said that they also failed to pay federal income tax.

The two surrendered to start their lengthy prison sentences earlier this week. An Atlanta U.S. District Court judge sentenced Todd Chrisley to 12 years in prison, and Julie Chrisley to seven years, according to the Department of Justice. Both of them have also been ordered to serve three years of supervised release afterward and pay restitution.

The TV stars initially requested bond but was ultimately denied pending appeal of their convictions for federal charges of bank fraud and tax evasion. They also requested an extension to their surrender date, but this too was denied.

Before beginning their new journey, Todd released a final message through his podcast. He said, “You just have to hope and pray to God that when one division of the judicial system fails, that the next level, which is the appellate court, sees the mistakes and tries to correct those mistakes,” Todd said.
