TODAY: Donald Trump To Surrender To History-Making Criminal Charges. Here’s What’s Expected To Happen This Morning
A big moment in U.S. history is set to soon unfold in a Manhattan courthouse this Tuesday as Former President Donald Trump, who faces multiple election-related investigations, is expected to surrender to face criminal charges stemming from 2016 hush money payments.
When he surrenders, Mr. Trump who was impeached twice by the U.S. House but was never convicted in the U.S. Senate will become the first former president to face criminal charges.
Here’s What To Expect Today
The 45th ex-president who already flew in Monday to New York will be escorted from Trump Tower to the courthouse by the Secret Service where he’ll be placed under arrest and may have his mug shot taken as well as his fingerprints.
New York police are braced for protests by Trump supporters after the Republican made the demand in his announcement post last month. He said at the time: “NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.”
As of this morning, Trump supporters have been seen standing outside the courthouse.

Following his arrest, Trump will then head back to his Palm Beach, Florida, home, Mar-a-Lago, later this evening where he will hold a rally. So far, at least 500 prominent supporters have been invited, with some of the most pro-Trump congressional Republicans expected to attend.
More On The Indictment
According to two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press last week.,
the indictment contains multiple charges of falsifying business records, including at least one felony offense. After the arraignment, Trump is expected to be released by authorities since the charges against him don’t require that bail be set.
Despite all of this, a conviction would not prevent Trump from running for or winning the presidency in 2024.
We will continue to keep you updated on all this regarding Trump’s indictment as this story develops.
