Tinder & Lyft Partner So Users Can Book Rides For Their Dates

Hey now! In a new partnership in preparation for the return of in-person dating, Tinder and Lyft are teaming up so that users can gift and book rides for their dates, all without ever leaving the Tinder app.

On Monday (Mar. 22), the dating service revealed the news and confirmed that currently, the feature isn’t available yet, but in the next coming months users will begin to see it roll out on the app. They added that users who are gifted rides will be able to share their locations with friends and silently request emergency assistance.

Tinder’s senior vice president of business development and partnerships David Wyler says, “We’re excited to partner with Lyft and work on innovative solutions for our members who are looking forward to getting back out there.” However, the app says the feature is meant for “post-lockdown daters.” Additionally, it’s reported that Tinder, among other dating platforms like Hinge, OKCupid and Match have grew during the pandemic. #Socialites, are you here for the new feature?
