The loss comes as another heartbreaking blow to the Knowles family, who recently dedicated Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, to another beloved family member, Uncle Johnny. Tina Knowles had previously described Johnny as “more like a brother” to her, underscoring the close-knit bond that defines their family dynamic.

“A big thank you to my Uncle Johnny,” Beyoncé wrote on her website at the time. “He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album.” Beyoncé, who was 17 years old when Johnny died from complications related to HIV, went on to say, “Thank you to all of the pioneers who originate culture, to all of the fallen angels whose contributions have gone unrecognized for far too long. This is a celebration for you.”

As they navigate this period of mourning, the Knowles family finds solace in the memories and legacies left behind by Butch and Uncle Johnny. Their spirits will continue to inspire and guide them through this difficult time, reminding them of the enduring power of love and family bonds.

The heartbreaking loss seems to have come at an unexpected time as Beyonce and her family have been continuing to celebrate the launch of their new Haircare line, CECRED.

Days ago, they held a private launch party in Los Angeles with some of their fellow celebrities and influencers. The superstar told guests “This is a dream come true.”

Following this latest loss, fans are currently sending Knowles and the family an output of love and support.
