Socialites, get into this! Democratic Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota and Republican Senator JD Vance of Ohio are set to face off in a vice-presidential debate on October 1.

Walz confirmed the debate on social media, stating, “See you on October 1, JD.” A campaign official added that Walz “looks forward to debating JD Vance — if he shows up.” Vance also took to social media and stated, “The American people deserve as many debates as possible. Not only do I accept the CBS debate on October 1, but I also accept the CNN debate on September 18. I look forward to seeing you at both!”

The showdown will be moderated by Norah O’Donnell, anchor and managing editor of “CBS Evening News,” and Margaret Brennan, moderator of “Face the Nation” and CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent.

Before this debate, viewers will witness the anticipated face-off between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, who have both confirmed their participation in the previously scheduled debate on September 10, hosted by ABC.

In the meantime, Harris, who recently announced her presidential candidacy following Joe Biden’s exit from the race, is expected to attend an event in Maryland on Thursday. At this event, they will highlight billions of dollars in initial savings resulting from ongoing negotiations with pharmaceutical companies over drug prices for Americans on Medicare.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a public event in Bedminster, New Jersey.
