A TikToker is making headlines after attempting to teach his family a “life lesson” by faking his own death then showing up to his funeral shocking everyone.

David Baerten, known as Ragnar le Fou on social media, claims he pulled the stunt because he wanted to teach his family a lesson on learning how to stay in touch. The TikToker did an interview with The Times U.K, and said “What I see in my family often hurts me,” he said, per the newspaper. “I never get invited to anything. Nobody sees me. We all grew apart. I felt unappreciated. That’s why I wanted to give them a life lesson, and show them that you shouldn’t wait until someone is dead to meet up with them.”

The 45-year-old TikToker even went as far as bringing in his wife and his children to help make the prank seem real. “Rest in peace Daddy. I will never stop thinking about you,” one of his daughters wrote on TikTok before the service. “Why is life so unfair? Why you? You were going to be a grandfather, and you still had your whole life ahead of you. I love you! We love you! We will never forget you.”

According to PEOPLE, once the TikToker arrived to the funeral he showed up in helicopter. “Cheers to you all, welcome to my funeral,” he said.

Some family members were confused while others welcomed him with hugs. Unfortunately the man still felt some type of way after noticing only half of the family was at the funeral.
