TikToker Blasts Other Influencers For Pretending To Go To Coachella: ‘They Don’t Have Wristbands, They Just Take Photos In The Desert’

20-year-old TikToker and musician Loren Gray claims that other influencers on the app and elsewhere are all a bunch of fakes! She says not everyone who’s posting pics in the desert are really experiencing the annual Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.

Taking to her TikTok, where she has amassed over 54.4 million followers, Loren put all the other influencers on blast for faking their Coachella content. To a video posted on Saturday (April 15), which at the time of publishing has 3 million views, Loren captions it, “Here to validate your fomo.”

In the video, Loren says, “Okay. I haven’t personally seen anyone talk about this, but I think it’s hilarious. And I have to share it because, it’s Coachella. Coachella is like the ‘Influencer Olympics,’ right? It’s the place to be. But, most influencers, or a lot of influencers, don’t even go to Coachella. And I think that is such a wild fact.”

The TikToker continues to explain what these influencers are actually doing instead. She explains, “They’ll go out to the desert and get like an AirBnB. Stay with someone. Get their outfits. Get their hair. Get their makeup. Post up, ‘Coachella Day One,’ [*pose*]. ‘Coachella Day Two,’ [*pose*]. And they don’t got to the festival. They don’t have wristbands. They just drive their little butts out to the desert to take Instagram photos. Make TikToks. Get Ready With Mes. Whatever. And then they drive back and that’s it.”

Loren then sends a message to the viewers watching who may feel like they’re experiencing “FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out),” and adds, “So, if you feel boring and sad because you’re not at Coachella, just know that most of these people aren’t there either. It’s like a very common occurrence that I thought people knew. But, then I didn’t see anyone talking about it. So, now you know.”

Many fans of the TikToker took to her comment section, with some revealing that they already knew that many influencers were pretending, and weren’t surprised. Meanwhile, others were thanking her for bringing the truth to the light, as some truly did have FOMO, thinking “Everybody and their mommas are at Coachella.”
