Mary Anne Oliver-Snow aka Yandere.freak on Tik Tok, was released on bail earlier this week after she was charged for the death of her friend, Helen Rose Hastings. In a report by Vice, the shooting took place in Houston, Texas on January 17. Oliver-Snow reportedly dressed as Penguin, one of the villains from Batman, and was smoking and drinking with a group of friends.
“The defendant stated her ex-boyfriend left his gun at her residence when he moved out, stating he took all of the bullets. The defendant stated she did not know there was a bullet in it, stating she has played with it before as a joke. The Defendant stated her ex-boyfriend has shown her how to take out the bottom part, referring to the magazine, so it would not shoot.” the police report reads.

Witnesses said Hastings reportedly approached Oliver-Snow and jokingly told her to shoot: “Ooooh shoot me,” as they were laughing with each other. During the encounter, Oliver-Snow allegedly said “Oh Ok” and the gun reportedly went off. During an interview with police, she told them that the group was watching Gotham and they were joking around since her online presence is a cosplayer.
Hastings was placed on life support but her parents pulled the plug shortly after. Five days after the incident, Oliver-Snow was released on a $20,000 bail and she violated her obligations prior to court.
She continues to post TikTok videos which also include graphic depictions of blood.
