Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, is reportedly seeking to nullify a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) she alleges the professional golfer made her sign.

According to TMZ, Herman filed legal documents alleging that an NDA Woods made her sign at the beginning of their relationship in August 2017 is now being wrongfully enforced. In her grievance, Herman claims a private trust under Woods’ control that is enforcing the NDA is attempting to silence her from speaking out about their nearly six-year-long relationship. In the legal documents filed, Herman argues the NDA she signed should be “declared unenforceable,” under the federal Speak Out Act — which voids the enforceability of an NDA agreement that was enacted before disputes involving sexual assault or sexual harassment arise.

While it appears that Herman has not directly accused the five-time Master’s winner of sexual abuse, the 39-year-old is reportedly “eager,” to reveal details about her “experiences,” with Woods. Though there hasn’t been an official confirmation of a split between the pair, Woods and Herman have reportedly not been seen together in months. Herman was noticeably absent amid Woods’ appearance at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational event last month. In the past, Herman was actively engaged in Woods’ golf career, previously celebrating his 2018 TOUR Championship win on the green by sharing a passionate PDA with the 82-time PGA Tour winner.
Before their relationship, Herman reportedly met Woods during her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Herman worked as a general manager at Woods’ restaurant, The Woods Jupiter in Florida, when the pair met, according to a former employee of the establishment.
“She [Herman] worked at Blue Martini in Orlando as a bartender to get through college,” said Gianni Nailor, a former server assistant employed in 2016. “And he came to the bar [as a customer].”
Woods and Herman reportedly made their relationship official in October 2017 during the Presidents’ Cup annual golf tournament. Since then, Herman has seemingly been by the golf legend’s side, notably attending Woods’ court hearing in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida — where he pleaded guilty to reckless driving after being found asleep in his car in May 2017. Herman reportedly moved into Wood’s Florida home in 2019, where she lived with him and his kids Sam, 15, and Charlie, 13.
A report from the NY Post alleges that Herman and Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren reportedly grew close over the years and that the 39-year-old had purportedly joined them on family vacations. Woods and Nordegren divorced in 2010 after the former model accused the 15-time major champion of cheating with nearly a dozen other women.
