Three Tennessee adults have been arrested and charged after a toddler was found in a kennel with snakes and mice at a Henry County home.

According to FOX 8, Heather Scarbrough,42; T.J. Brown, 46, and Charles Brown,82, were arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and cruelty to animals. Sheriff Monte Belew said in a statement that deputies responded to a call on Thursday about animal cruelty taking place in the trailer where the child was found. Upon their arrival, a 1-year-old boy was found in a kennel. Including the boy, there was a boa constrictor and seven other snakes in the room. Deputies also found a bucket containing 150 to 200 mice.
Additionally, there were 15 to 20 dogs and thousands of cockroaches surrounded by feces at the home. In total, officials seized 56 dogs, four parakeets, three cats, eight snakes, 86 chickens and roosters, 10 rabbits, 531 mice, rice, and hamsters. three sugar gliders, and a gecko.

Belew stated investigators found several marijuana plants and 17 guns. The three adults are jailed on a $300,000 bond and will appear in court on a later date.
