Third Russian Doctor Treating Coronavirus Plunges From Hospital Window

In just over a week, a third Russian doctor, who has been treating coronavirus, has mysteriously plunged from a hospital window, and now questions are being raised; especially since he’d tested positive and spoke out about conditions at his workplace,

In a video filmed by paramedic Alexander Kosyakin, Alexander Shulepov, 37 and a doctor at an ambulance unit in Russia’s western Voronezh region, complained about PPE shortages and having to work while being positive. Just ten days later, he fell from a hospital window; making him the third Russian medical staffer to do so within the last ten days in the country.

While the other two doctors who took plunges (Dr. Natalya Lebedeva, 48, and Dr. Yelena Nepomnyashchaya, 47), did not survive, Shulepov did, and is currently in serious condition with a fractured skull. Before his fall, however, it is reported that three days after his first video, he retracted his allegations in a new one; which seemed forced and under duress. In it, he claimed his conditions improved; stating, “I have a runny nose, otherwise all is well. We were high on emotions [in the first video].”

In the first video, Kosyakin stated, “Ambulance doctor Alexander Shulepov is next to me, he is just confirmed COVID-19. The chief doctor is forcing us to work. What do we do in this situation? We are not leaving the shift … myself and Alexander has been working together for a month. This is the situation. Everyone says it’s fake (but) these are real facts for you.”
